Crankshaft 58x107mm Gp, black, with small end, MEC Italian

This Italian MEC GP black crankshaft is a good budget crankshaft.

We wouldn't recommend it in more than a mildly tuned engine but should be suitable for most road applications.

Sebastien M on 17 Jul 2010 asked "Hello Mark, after installing one of these crank,, i measured the tolerance between crank web and oil seal retaining plate ( and also the edge of the casing on the cylinder mouth aligned to the edge of the retaing plate ) it is only 15/100 ( 0.15 mm ) Although nothing is rubbing, is it enough in term of clearance? Does the crank will expand latterally under heat and risk rubbing ? ( no minimum tolerance is stated in the sticky's book apart from " no rubbing" ) many thanks in advance for your help"

MB Group, Serious Outdoors Ltd replied: Ideally you require 0.5mm clearance between the crank and mag housing and drive plate. You should gain more clearance between the drive plate and crank if you use one of our MRB drive plates.
