Ex GP500 rider Mr.Aragaki rode race-tour 195 lambretta in last Dec.2011. He rode lambretta first time and asked to me " Is this rotary disk valve?" He was very impressed that I told him it is piston valve. I think it is good thing, much smoother than any other piston valve.

Adam W on 11 Mar 2012 asked "I am looking to fit this into an original LI125 , what crank would you recommend to upgrade to and also is there a benefit of also fitting reed valves? As what is the fuel consumption like? Thanks Adam "
MB Group, Serious Outdoors Ltd replied: These kits will work on any crankshaft depending on carb and exhaust used which limit or increase power. These are good cranks MBGM0252 and MBGM0241. Cstomers tell us 60 - 80mpg. And the reed can lift and spread the power. Mark D on 18 Mar 2011 asked "I have a question about "MRB Race-Tour 195 cylinder kit, MRB" Mark, still considering this for a LI150 special (1964) upgrade. If I go for top end set up e.g., 30mm carb and dev tour what gearing do you suggest -- will I have to upgrade my gearbox? Thank"
MB Group, Serious Outdoors Ltd replied: It depends on the gearbox that is actually fitted in the bike. I prefer the Li150 gearbox or Sx200 or the Gp125/200 gearbox. By using these you can use reliable sprockets and chains to get a good gear ratio. We've run between 5.22:1 and 4.80:1 on the same set up. A lot also depends on how heavy you are or do you ride 2 up with bags. I always prefer to let an engine run easy and pull the gearing, this way you may loose some top end but it will pull 4th easy all the time. So Li150 (Italian) 15x46 or Sx200 15x46 or Gp125/20 18x47 for starters.
Mark D on 19 Feb 2011 asked "I have a question about "MRB Race-Tour 195 cylinder kit, MRB" Hi - I'm stripping and rebuilding an Li150 Special engine that has stood for 25 years. What other components would you recommend changing to enable running of this kit? What are the advantages of this kit over the tuned Mugello you do (similar prices) Cheers,Mark"
MB Group, Serious Outdoors Ltd replied: Ideally you should change the crankshaft. But it could run on a standard one if you wanted with a standard carb and exhaust. But if you are thinking of one of our RT kits then you want performance. So change the crank to a performance one which varies in price from around £100 to £400. We find as the RT kit is really thought about its works however you set it up, unlike Mugello kits which vary every time you fit one. We have seen lots of Mugellos giving 10 -14bhp where as ours with the same carbs and exhausts do 18+bhp.
